Hetken kun karttaa tutkailtuani, totesin, ett\u00e4 1100 kilometri\u00e4 ensimm\u00e4iseksi v\u00e4h\u00e4n pidemm\u00e4ksi py\u00f6r\u00e4retkeksi ei ole v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4tt\u00e4 hyv\u00e4 idea. Eih\u00e4n tuo matkana ole sin\u00e4ns\u00e4 pitk\u00e4, jos on aikaa kaksi viikkoa. Matkareitiksi tuli seuraava: Porvoo \u2013 Padasjoki \u2013 Keuruu \u2013 Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n ja Vaajakosken kautta Heinola \u2013 Porvoo.<\/p>\n<p>Jos olisin v\u00e4h\u00e4n tarkemmin ajatellut p\u00e4iv\u00e4kohtaisia matkoja, olisin valinnut v\u00e4h\u00e4n lyhyemm\u00e4n retken. Tuolla reitill\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4kohtainen ajom\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 olisi noin 137,5 kilometri\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 oli testiretki, joten eikun pakkaamaan.<\/p>\n<p>Varustetta tuli mukaan yhteens\u00e4 noin 17 kiloa, sis\u00e4lt\u00e4en teltan, makuualustan, kes\u00e4makuupussin, 2 litran pulloa vett\u00e4 + muuta sy\u00f6t\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 (vesipullojen tankkaus aina kun mahdollista), keittov\u00e4lineet sek\u00e4 vaihtovaatteet. Ensimm\u00e4isen\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 oli tarkoitus p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 Padasjoelle ja olla teltassa y\u00f6t\u00e4. Matka meni oikein mukavasti, oli vain todella kuuma keli. Vett\u00e4 kului aika paljon, sit\u00e4 oli kuitenkin riitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti saatavilla. Lahden tiety\u00f6maa-alueet olivat kaaosta, kevyen liikenteen v\u00e4yl\u00e4t oli katkaistu miten sattuu, opasteita ei miss\u00e4\u00e4n. Ainoa vaihtoehto oli ajaa ajoradalla. Alkuillasta hiki virtasi, vaikka vain makasi. Padajoelta matka jatkui kohti Keuruuta. Matkaa tuli 131 kilometri\u00e4, ajoaika my\u00f6skin noin 7 tuntia. Alkoi my\u00f6s kohtuullisen kova vastatuuli, joka s\u00f6i v\u00e4h\u00e4n intoa. Ajatuksena oli kuitenkin ajaa mahdollisimman pitk\u00e4\u00e4n ja pitk\u00e4lle, jotta viimeiselle ajop\u00e4iv\u00e4lle j\u00e4isi mahdollisimman v\u00e4h\u00e4n ajokilometrej\u00e4. Matka oli opettavainen ja mukava.<\/p>\n<p>Seuraavaksi alkaa paremman varustuksen haalinta. Retkeilyyn paremmin soveltuva polkupy\u00f6r\u00e4 on ensimm\u00e4inen hankinta. Se on my\u00f6s se kallein hankinta. Kyll\u00e4 tuonkin matkan polku 7 vaihteisella Helkama Kulkuri Cityll\u00e4. Yl\u00e4m\u00e4iss\u00e4 ei tosin ollut tarpeeksi kevytt\u00e4 vaihdetta, eik\u00e4 alam\u00e4iss\u00e4 tarpeeksi isoa vaihdetta. Kun saan paremman py\u00f6r\u00e4n ja siihen etutavaratelineen, on my\u00f6s pakkaaminen helpompaa ja tasapainoisempaa.
